“Loud, in your face, bubbly, straight talking Henny Fox the person is certainly, hard to miss, her straight to the point persona brims with easy enough confidence to make it in a world full of wolves, sharks and…....foxes, but how about her music? That is where it gets a little bit more complicated.
From the earlier songs like ‘Falling’ and ‘Name In Lights’, showing her ability to write the more ‘generic’ pop songs with upbeat catchy melodies showing her talent with a good chorus getting the crowd up and about. Then we move to Songs like ‘London Town’, completely different, its full of soul, blues and a story concentrating much more on the quality of her vocals and lyrics.
Finally Henny’s newest offerings ‘Your Puppet’ and ‘Run’ although played live with a backing band are very stripped down, as the maturity has kicked in, these songs show a major growth spurt in knowledge about what needs to be in a song to start to gain respect in the right places.
There is one thing wrong with all of this, when someone has such a straightforward confident persona, there is almost too much variety in her music for someone to be able to button down and get right into it. However take confidence in this, that at such a young stage in her career she is still finding that ‘sound’ and when she does no matter which of the above direction she takes I’m sure it will be like the Fox…. hard to miss!” Josh Binks - Manchester Music Unsigned
“There’s something about Henny and her music that is really intriguing to me, from first recording her last year I instantly knew she has the talent and the drive to make her mark. From writing and creating some good recordings on her own with an acoustic guitar and piano, to building a band around herself and more recently the Felix and Fox collaboration with Rubén Felix Everett from up and coming Oxford band Minor Coles, there’s something ticking away in there manically, forcing it’s way out to the big wide world, that you just shouldn’t miss. From the heartfelt Run through to the hooks and melodies of London Town and Name in Lights she is definitely one to go and see.” Ian Stewart - Owner of Blueprint Studios, Manchester
