Rising out the ashes of the now defunct Tariff Sessions, who were themselves slain by a series of receptions and small boys birthday parties, Pablo’s Finest Hour emerged triumphantly.
Band members sprang out of a small shadowy cabal committed to undermining the militant grasp of Clear Channel. They were quickly persuaded to lay down arms and pick up instruments, and with the final addition of a bucaneering drummer, who returned from AWOL in Latin America, Pablo were born.
Decamping to the least regal Queen Street in the country, Pablo quickly formed a solid set of folky, melancholic melodies, propped up by the gypsy charms of the violin.
